The SOMATOM Definition is the world’s fastest CT (Computed Tomography) scanner – twice as fast as the quickest 64-slice systems on the market.

The Dual Source CT works by using two x-ray sources
simultaneously as opposed to one. Because of this engineering
advancement, this extremely fast CTscanner can image cardiac
patients with high or irregular heart rates without the need for
beta-blockers (as well as patients with shortness of breath).

The result? We will be able to detect significant coronary artery
disease noninvasively with high accuracy, revolutionizing the treatment
of the most common serious health problem in the developed world.
